Volunteer Positions
High Jump Officiating
Parent participation is required to help the club offer a full scope of events. Our track club is responsible for officiating the high jump event at every island track meet. There will be a short, high jumping clinic put on for all parents in the near future, the date to be announced. Every family is expected to participate in officiating the high jumping event at every meet that they attend. This will only require an hour or two for the full weekend. There are seven island series track meets.

Garriock Meet
CVAC hosts our annual Garriock Meet, which is a huge success because of our awesome volunteers! The club needs a large number of volunteers to se-tup and take down equipment, organize, officiate ... serve food in order to host this event.
Criminal Record Check
BC Athletics (our governing body) requires that all volunteer coaches have a criminal record check done. If you have graciously volunteered to be a coach this year, please take the attached letter to the local RCMP to have your check done.

Club Achievements

Our club has not yet made it into the Guiness Book of Records, however, we do have a pretty good "track" record of achievements. Here are just a few of the more recent notables:
- Over 60% of our members return each year for another season with the club
- Our club hosts the Garriock Meet each year. This year we had a record breaking 465 athletes attend
- Several of our club members won gold, silver and bronze medals at the 2012 Provincial High School
- The girls seniors 4 X 100m relay team from Francis Kelsey, with 3/4 CVAC members, won Gold and broke the Island record. Fastest time in 10 years.
- Chicago Bains broke the Bantam record for the Island in 80m Hurdles
