FUND RAISING Update

The Fund-Raising committee has been hard at work planning on ways to raise much-needed monies for the club this year. This is what we have so far:

1. Dance

We are in the beginning stages of organizing our first annual CVAC Jaguars Fund-Raising Dance. It will be held on Saturday, May 15th. We have a great  band lined up and we'll be finalizing all other details in the coming  weeks. It promises to be a fun evening and will hopefully raise  much needed funds for our club. Mark it  on your calendar and tell all your friends!

2. Recycling Depot Account

CVAC Jaguars now have our own account at the Recycling Depot at Norcross Rd. north of Duncan. Please think of the club next time you head in with your recycling and ask that they make a deposit to the club account. This is an easy way to raise some money for the club without having to dedicate a whole day to a bottle drive!.

3. Unicycler

This is a new idea designed to generate some funds for the club and provide some inexpensive, slightly used uniforms and workout gear for club members. Here's how it works:   Collect up all your kids gently used workout clothing that they've grown out of and donate to the Unicyler. Shorts, t-shirts (no cotton     please) sweats, warm up suits, club gear, spikes, etc. will be gladly accepted. We'll wash them up and price them  at a deep discount so that new and returning club members can find some good deals with the proceeds going to the club.

4. Canadian Tire Money and Sports Trader Bucks

We will gladly take these as donations and use them to buy equipment/supplies for the club as well as items for raffles and silent auctions at our fund-raising dance.

If anyone has any other ideas for fund-raisers, please feel free to offer them up. We are happy to have input!
